November 30th, 2012 – My mom sent me a package.
December 3rd, 2012 – The package arrived in Spain.
December 4th, 2012 – The package went into customs.
January 2nd, 2013 – The receptionist at Saint Louis University sent me an email saying that I had received a package at the school.
January 8th, 2013 – I excitedly rushed to school to pick up my package bright and early in the morning. I picked up my package….the wrong one. This was a package from Deb and Jack Billion. It was a beautiful scarf from them which I am super thankful for, but at the time I was so disappointed it was not my Mom’s package that I have been waiting to receive for more than a month! But seriously, thank you for the scarf. It is wonderful.
January 9th, 2013 – Took an hour and a half bus to customs. Waited and waited until finally they found my form — Carik Scruger. No wonder I did not get a notice of arrival, who would know that was me?!? Finally I got the forms, then I had to walk to another building to get more forms. Next, I waited and waited. Then, I paid 50 euros to get my forms stamped. Then I had to walk back to the customs office and give them the form. Then I waited and waited. Then FINALLY I received my package.
I tore open the package at home and I wrapped the quilt around me and sighed in relief.
Cost of sending =75 USD
Cost of receiving = 50 USD
Having my most prized possession (my quilt) = Priceless
Thank you Mom and Gram. I love you.
Thank the Lord! I am so happy you have the package! I’m just sorry you had to pay that much money to retrieve it. What a scam! Were the cookies edible?
